Prasanna Tambe is a Professor in the Operations, Information and Decisions Department at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Faculty Co-Director of Wharton Human-AI Research.
He has been an Economist in Residence at OpenAI since 2025.
His research examines technical labor markets, how AI changes work and skills, and how organizations use algorithms and data in hiring, retention, and workforce decisions.
